Hi babes and happy Friday! What do you gals have planned for the weekend? Tonight is the first Creighton Jays basketball game and I’m so excited! Tony and I are huuuuge CU basketball fans and we look forward to this day all year long! Call me lame, but these games get us through the dreadful cold winer months and give us an excuse to get out of the house. It seems like we were just watching the last game of the season back in March. Time needs to slow down. I seriously can’t believe it’s the first weekend of November! The leaves are falling fast and when I get up in the morning with the pups, I can see my breath when I let them outside! It’s still pretty mild during the day, high of 75 today!, but next week the temps are supposed to take a dip and before we know it, the snow will be flying! Which means it’s time to start preparing your winter necessity lineup. One thing I’m really good at is buying heels, open-toe booties, wedges, and sandals. One thing I’m really bad at buying are practical items… like winter boots. Who else is like this?! For instance, I would rather buy a thousand moto jackets than one heavy winter coat. Another item, a proper brazier. I get gift cards to Victoria’s Secret and I know I should buy the gals a new lift, but why do that when I can get new boyfriend sweatpants???
I thought all hope was lost and that I would be facing another long winter with cold toes, until I discovered these Kamik boots! These have totally changed the way I view “practical winter boots” because not only are they waterproof, warm, and oh-so-comfy, but they’re pink and tan plaid with the cutest laces! And you know I had to play up the patterns and add a plaid blanket scarf over my cozy knit sweater. I love that I can tuck my jeans into the boots to keep my ankles dry and the snow & rain out. They’re functional without feeling bulky! The only downfall of owning these fabulous boots is that now I have zero excuse as to why I can’t help Tony shovel snow this winter haha! Oh yes, that winter coat thing… I certainly can’t shovel in my moto jacket, now can I?!
