Hi friends and happy Friday!  Now that Summer is officially in full swing, it’s time to think about what to wear to those Summer concerts and festivals!  I mentioned here that we’ve got a few outdoor shows lined up, so I thought I would share just how I put my outfits together for such occasions!

WHAT TO WEAR TO A SUMMER CONCERT

STATEMENT SLEEVES:  For me, the perfect concert outfit is a mix of cute and casual with an extra shot of sass, and this floral bell sleeve top is giving me all the feels!  I’ve shared time and time again that I believe in showing it all, just not all at the same time.  So if I’m going to be wearing short shorts, then I prefer to not wear a sleeveless top.  Normally I wouldn’t classify a long sleeve top as a Summer option, but I’m obsessed with this gorgeous floral number!   The moment I laid eyes on it while shopping at Evereve at Village Pointe, I had to bring it home with me.  It’s very light weight and breathable, and the big bell sleeves allow for plenty of air flow.  I opted for a layering tank underneath because I love the criss cross detail and the light pink shade, but for those extra warm evenings, I would ditch the tank and just wear a bralette!  The statement sleeves bring the right amount of flare without looking too “done up” or overly excessive for a casual event!

CUTOFF SHORTS:  Nothing says Summer like a great pair of jean shorts and it’s no secret that I pretty much live in them all Summer long!  One of my favorite places to get my cutoffs from is American Eagle and it seems like they always have a BOGO sale going on!  The laid back style of shorts balances the feminine floral print and statement sleeves of the top, and these are super comfy!

FUN + AFFORDABLE SUNNIES:  The heart shaped sunglass trend is going strong for Summer and I think it’s so fun!  But as much as I love it, I’m not willing to spend a bundle on them!  Even the staple sunglasses I wear all year long are all under $60, so shelling out upwards of four hundred dollars on heart sunnies just isn’t happening.  Especially when you’re prone to dropping or loosing sunglasses like I am!  This cute pair is only $10 from American Eagle.  They’re perfect for concerts, festivals, and really for anything that involves a Summer festivity because they’re on-trend, darling, and you won’t feel guilty if you break or scratch them in the midst of singing and dancing along to the tunes!

LIGHT WEIGHT EARRINGS:  When it comes to Summer accessories, I generally prefer to keep it minimal and no fuss, which means I leave my statement necklaces in the armoire and shy away from super heavy statement earrings.  But sometimes I feel a bit bare without a fun pop of color or fringe, which is where these pink earrings come in clutch!  Francesca’s at Village Pointe has the best selection of earrings and they, too, often have super sales on their accessories!  This darling pink pair of earrings are incredibly light weight and are ones that you can wear from the start of happy hour before the concert and all the way to post-show snacks!

CROSS BODY BAG:  Between snapping pics and taking videos on Stories, sipping on a cold beverage, and a steady flow of clapping hands and arms waving in the air – having a cross body bag is an absolute must for concerts and shows!  This saddlebag holds all of my essentials and the light gray color makes it a perfect neutral, ensuring it goes with every outfit in my closet!

COMFY SHOES:  Everything mentioned above doesn’t matter if your feet are killing you!  Between aching arches and blistered heels & toes, nothing can ruin your night like an uncomfortable pair of shoes.  I get it, heels make your legs look better!  Trust me, I’m barely 5″3, so I need all the help I can get to make them look longer.  But do yourself a solid and leave the heels at home!  If you must have some height, opt for a comfy pair of espadrille wedges or flatform espadrilles like I’m wearing here.  The bright teal blue hue is so pretty and plays perfectly with the colorful floral print!  But if you know you’ll be on your feet for many hours and you’ll be doing lots of walking, go the safe route and wear you’re favorite pair of sandals!

What is your go-to Summer concert outfit?!
