Hi babes and happy Monday! How was your weekend? Friday night we celebrated our friend’s birthday at our favorite sushi spot and Saturday we went to a cookout for our dear friends who were in town from Minnesota. It was so great to see everyone and it’s rare when we can all get together! Sunday I enjoyed some pool time at my parent’s house and then Tone and I cooked sweet corn and made brown rice & grilled shrimp bowls for dinner – a quintessential summer night meal!
Today marks the first full week of operating Sabby Style full-time and I’m slowly adjusting and figuring out my new groove for working from home! Tuesday I spent pretty much majority of my day tending to my overflowing inbox and flood of emails. And though my fingers felt like they were going to fall off, I was so relieved to get that crossed of my to-do list! I also discovered that I need to NOT be constantly checking my emails, because it took me for ever to finish a blog post! My girl Michelle gave me advice to only check my emails twice a day so I don’t get side-tracked. I have a million things that I get to do, but need to make sure I am finishing up one task before I start on the next. I’m going to write out my to-do list for the week every Monday morning, which will help me stay focused and to make sure I’m tending to priorities first and foremost. Of course the goal is to work harder & smarter, not longer, so I am also going to pick an afternoon to schedule a fun activity. Whether it’s pool time, a zoo date with friends, or grabbing HH sushi with Tone, I want to treat myself to a little bit of fun!
And speaking of fun, how perfect is this watermelon tank? I’ve totally jumped off the pineapple print train and hopped on the watermelon bandwagon! This print just screams summer with the vibrant colors. I love that it has a nice V-neck, which elongates the neck, and has thick straps so I can wear a normal bra = double win! I wore it over the weekend with white cuffed shorts and my hair up in a top-knot. The white jeans definitely made the print pop. It also looks super cute with cut-off jean shorts and some sassy heels, as seen in these photos!
And it’s no surprise that this watermelon darling is from one of my favorite places to shop, Jess Lea Boutique! My SS readers get a shopping discount when using the code SABBYSTYLE plus FREE SHIPPING!
Thanks so much for reading and I hope you have an awesome day!
