Hi sweet friends and happy Wednesday to y’all! How is your week treating you? It’s back-to-school time here in Omaha and I just can’t get over how quickly the Summer flew by. You know it’s about to be Fall when NFL pre-season games are interrupting your evening shows and the college football jerseys and t-shirts start making their appearances haha. That means I’ll be wearing jeans more than shorts, and not going to lie, that makes me a little sad. I live in cutoffs all Summer long! Before getting these jeans from the Nordstrom Sale, I was on a jean hiatus and hadn’t bought a new pair, nor have I worn jeans, in a looooong time. But I’m a sucker for a great pair of high-waisted denim that keeps all your ish in and these do just that! I really like that these have subtle distressed details because I can definitely dress them up for a nicer dinner, wear them for a business meeting (in my industry!), or to a casual church service. After doing a little bit of inventory, I realized that all of my jeans had big holes in the knees, and while I love the built-in ventilation and cool air on my knees, I needed to add a different, less ripped pair to my line up. And if I hear “you know you have holes in your jeans” one more time, I might loose it! This is my fourth pair of jeans from this brand and the fit is always on-point. I recommend sizing up one, as they do run small in my opinion! These are just $70 and ship for free!
If you follow me on the ol’ Insta, then you’ve already seen me wear this lace duster quite a few times, but I can’t help myself because I love it! One of my favorite retailers had a super similar version to this a few months ago but it was kinda pricey, and it sold out the moment it went on sale – go figure! I searched high and low for it and was delighted when I found it on SheIn for only $19! A lot of people ask me questions and express their hesitancy about buying from there, but let me tell you with 100% certainty that I enjoy and love every item I get and feature here on Sabby Style! The key to having ordering success is to follow the measurement chart and to NOT order your typical size. Sometimes I’m a Large in one top and a Small in another, but I just follow the measurements and never have an issue! This lace duster is a one-size fits most (OSFM) and actually runs a bit big. When it comes to t-shirts, I tend to shy away from ordering OSFM because I am bigger chested and size up when I buy tees. But things like kimonos, duster cardigans, and sweaters that are OSFM from SheIn always work well for me!
You’ve also seen me wear this peplum cami tank in multiple colors on Insta, too, and I have to say it’s one of my most favorite layering pieces right now! It’s loose, soft, and I love the ruffle hem. I wear it by itself on hot days when I’m outside or running errands and then throw a kimono or duster over it when I’m going to be inside and blasted by the A/C. I was unsure about sizing, so I have some in a US 6 and US 8 and the US 6 definitely fits much better. It’s such a great basic for only $30 + free shipping! I have it in yellow (as seen here), lilac, pink, red, coral, green, ivory, black, and in the cutest polka dot pattern – so needless to say, I’m a fan!
You can see how I styled this yellow tank & lace duster when I traveled to Charleston here!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day! xoxo
