Hi sister-friends! Last week on my Instagram I shared that I’m going to be making some updates and changes to my site in the coming weeks, and with that, I also confessed that I’ve been in a style slump the past couple months. Do you ever go through phases where you want to incorporate the latest and greatest styles and trends into your wardrobe but you’re also seeking balance in remaining true to you? In whatever capacity that may be – home, food, fitness, style – I feel you, friend. And that is why I asked my amazing IG fam to help me see whatever I wasn’t. And I have to say that all of your sweet comments and feedback completely melted my heart and gave me life! Literally, my attitude and how I looked at myself seemed to turn right side up and it was clear that my heart (and readers) want fun, accessible, dressed up casual, pattern mixing, & color wearing outfit inspiration! And you know what, so do I! The next day Michelle and I were shooting looks and I knew I had to recreate one of my favorite Fall looks – mixing stripes and plaid!
With the changing of the seasons, it seems that everyone takes the leap into dark neutrals and jeweled tone pieces the moment we pass Labor Day. And while I love all of those things, and all of my fashionable friends look fabulous in them, I just want to wear my bright and airy colors! So in order to partake in Fall fashion while keeping to my Sabby Style ways, I opt for pattern mixing my favorite closet staples, like a striped tunic and plaid blanket scarf! Stripes and plaid will forever be my favorite combo and there is not better time than Fall to bust this out. I’ve been looking for any excuse to wear my new OTK boots but still don’t feel super comfortable with wearing skinny jeans tucked into them. Props to those girls who look uber chic and slim in this look – I feel like a sausage! Maybe I need to try different jeans… anyways, until that happens, a tunic that covers the bum and my favorite liquid leggings is the look I’ll be rocking with these boots! These leggings are amazing because they don’t cost a hundred bucks and are high waisted, which keep all of your mid-section stuff, tucked in and locked up! They surprisingly keep you pretty warm, too. I brought both of my pairs to London & Paris with me in the Spring – it was freezing in London, fyi – and they kept my buns toasty warm!
My SS readers can get a 10% discount treat on these leggings, as well as the entire Jess Lea Boutique site, with code SABBYSTYLE! That makes my leggings under $22 plus Free Shipping!
