Hi friends and happy April! I hope your month and week are off to a great start and that you’re experiencing some semblance of Spring-like weather where you live! Â It’s been pretty mild/decent here minus a dreary, rainy day today; but I didn’t mind because I had tons of office work, along with household chores to take care of, and there’s nothing worse than being trapped indoors on a beautiful day!
Today I wanted to chat about one of my must-have Spring and Summer wardrobe staples – a versatile white top! Â Nothing says sunny days quite like a simple white shirt that goes with everything in your closet. Â In fact, every time I come out of my closet and into the living room before Tony and I leave the house, he jokingly says “Oh, a white t-shirt, that’s different for you” haha! Â Hey, what can I say, I like what I like and I LOVE white tees, tanks, and blouses for Spring and Summer!
I love how easy breezy this white tie top from Lucy Avenue Boutique is with it’s flutter sleeves and front button detail. Â I’m pretty particular when it comes to “whites” and prefer cooler, crisp white hues versus creamy, yellow tones. Â This darling top is the perfect shade of white! Â The v-neck hits just right on my chest and doesn’t show too much, which I love! Â Another bonus about this top is that it’s not super sheer. Â I’m wearing a simple white cami tank tucked underneath, but I’ve worn it with just a nude bra and there was no issue. Â You could also add a lace bralette that would be super cute, too!
My white top is only $38 + an EXTRA 15% off with code SABBY! Â For size reference, I’m wearing a Medium.
Pairing white tops with blue jeans and cutoff shorts is my favorite way to wear white shirts, but they are beyond versatile and can be styled for multiple occasions! Â This top in particular would be totally suitable for the office if worn with a skirt (tucked in or worn showing the tie detail) and with cute cropped pants. Â When I worked in an office setting, even if it was 100 degrees outside, our building was alway frigid, so light weight cardigan sweaters and knit blazers became my best friends! Â Layering a jean jacket, or colorful cardigan would be an easy way to dress it up a little bit for work while adding some warmth to avoid freezing arms!
The same goes for offices; bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and really all establishments that run their A/C in the Summer are just so darn cold! Â That is why I’m a huge fan of duster cardigans and kimonos because they add interest and drama to a simple short and white shirt combo, but they also serve as a blanket when you sit down!
And to celebrate today being National Espadrille Day, I had to share these black ankle strap espadrille platform sandals, also from Lucy Avenue Boutique! Â I love that they’re not a super high wedge while still offering a little bit of height and they are SUPER comfortable!
These shoes will go effortlessly with maxi dresses, midi skirts, linen shorts, wide leg pants, tailored pixie pants, and casual jean shorts! Â And they’re only $40 + 15% off with code SABBY!
Lucy Avenue has a huge shoe selection and I’m obsessed with their new Spring lineup, so be sure to check them out here!
So I want to know, what is your ride or die Spring and Summer wardrobe staple!
