Trending for Fall: Burgundy Moto Jacket for under $60 (it comes in Black, too!)

Hi sweet friends and happy Monday! How was your weekend?  Even though it was the first official weekend of Fall, it was almost 100 degrees on Saturday!  Thankfully my parents’ pool is still open, so we moved the big screen tv outside and watched the Husker game from the comfort of our noodles in the pool while catching some rays.  I’m so glad we had one last pool day because the weather has taken a turn and it’s in the 60’s and raining here today.  Nebraska weather is so crazy sometimes!  And since I think this cool weather is here to stay, there’s no better time than right now to start adding new outerwear pieces to your wardrobe!  Moto jackets are one of my favorite jackets to wear for Fall.  I used to think I wasn’t edgy enough to pull them off, so I would admire them from afar.  Until I had some wine while online shopping from my couch one Friday evening, and I pulled the trigger on this black beauty.  I decided right then and there that if I like something, then I will find a way to make it my own and style it the Sabby way!  Sometimes Tony will give me a hard time and ask where I parked my motorcycle haha, because he probably thinks they aren’t quite “me”.  But here’s the thing, whether your the ultimate girly girl who has a closet full of pink or you’re a death metal lovin’ rocker chick, anyone can wear them!

I like to think I’m right in the middle of those two… Like classy but a little bad assy!  So one of my favorite ways to wear Moto jackets is when paired with feminine pieces, because the subtle edge of the jacket brings that sass to my look!  The feminine white chiffon tank I’m wearing underneath this gorgeous burgundy jacket balances out the toughness and keeps the look feeling light and bright.  I also added some statement earrings to draw out the pretty wine hue of the jacket, while the black & white stripes play off the white tank and black embellished heels!  The color of this jacket is seriously stunning and even thought it’s a faux leather material, it is incredibly soft and does not feel cheap whatsoever!  I love the belt detail, too.  And the cropped cut is very flattering and hits my waist in just the right spot!

The style and outfit possibilities for this jacket are endless!  And now that there’s a chill in the air, I cannot wait to pair it with sweaters, thermal tops, dark wash jeans and booties!  I also plan to layer this jacket over a long sleeve black maxi dress for an upcoming wedding we have next month!

I never used to be into red colors but I’ve turned over a new leaf <— do you see what I did there? 🙂 But if you’re not sold on the burgundy shade or are worried that you won’t get much wear out of it because it’s not a neutral, then you’ll be happy to know it also comes in black, which is beyond versatile!

For size reference – I sized up to a Medium so I could wear sweaters and long sleeve tops underneath and to get more use out of it come Winter!
