Hey galpals and happy almost Friday!  I’m back at it with Village Pointe and I’m so excited to share another way to style these double-denim sneakers!  In our first post, I styled these kicks with the cutest cutoff shorts and a super cozy fleece sweatshirt!  Aaaaaand the sweatshirt and shorts are on sale.  You’re welcome!  The Athleisure trend is still going strong and one of my favorite takes on it is to pair high-waisted leggings, a white tee, and a cardigan sweater with my tennis shoes.  Up until this point I hadn’t yet tried wearing tennies with a dress, and I don’t know what I was waiting for, because I’m hooked!  You know those outfits you put on and instantly feel chic, comfy, put together, and slim?  It’s rare to achieve all four of those things but this outfit hits all the marks and it’s one of my favorite looks as-of-late!

Even though we are now into Fall fashion, that does not mean that I’ll be ditching my color-lovin’ ways.  In years past, I have definitely fallen into a style rut.  As much as I love seeing olive, tan, and plaid on my fellow fashionistas, it just isn’t “me”, but I would try desperately to make it work.  Sure, I would put together cute outfits, but they never felt like a Sara outfit.  So this year I plan to be super intentional, and picky, about what I wear.  Not only is this blog my passion, but it’s also my business, and being cognizant of my brand is very important!  So as we start to transition to Fall and cooler temps, I thought a great way to do that is with this peach and navy striped dress!  I snagged this cutie at Old Navy at Village Pointe.  I’ve been a long-time fan and loyal shopper of Old Navy and I’m really loving what they’re doing right now!  Their pieces and aesthetic are fresh, fun, and on-trend.  Right when I spotted this striped dress, I knew it would be a perfect mate to these sneakers, that I also picked up at Village Pointe!  Stripes are a classic print that never go out of style.  And the cut of this dress is beyond flattering!  I’ve been feeling a bit body conscious lately, so was a bit unsure about how it would hug and hang on me, but I felt like a million bucks in it!  This dress is soft and has stretch, which basically feels like pajamas!  Not to mention the coral/peach hue makes you look tanner – bonus!  I didn’t want to take away from the dress and shoes, so I kept my accessories minimal, with heart hoop earrings, a two-tone boyfriend watch, and my fave white cross body bag that I’ve been carrying nonstop!

And because we are talking about transitional style, grabbing a long-sleeve layer as you head out the door is key for these next couple months!  I’ve had this chambray shirt for years and just when I think I’ve had enough of it, I reach for it once again.  To keep this outfit hands and hassle free, I tied it around my waist.  Which another bonus; it also gives you more of a flattering shape!  Whether the sun decides to duck behind the clouds or it’s freezing indoors, this little shirt (or a jean jacket if you don’t have a chambray shirt) is the best way to be prepared and look fabulous while doing it!

The dress and sneaker combo is the perfect mix of cute and comfy, causal dressy, and “put together without trying too hard”!  This outfit would be fabulous for a variety of occasions, including…

Exploring a New City or a Family Vacation that Includes a lot of Walking!

Shopping with Your Girls!  Being cute and comfy is a requirement for this workout!

Going to a Movie!  The knee-length dress keeps your behind and thighs from touching the seat and you can put the shirt on to keep your arms warm!

Strolling the Farmer’s Market!  The cross body bag allows you to be hands-free so you can touch and feel all the yummy produce and sweets you’re going to get!

Taking in a Sporting Event or Tailgating with Friends!  The chambray around your waist will hide that hot dog food baby!
