Swing Dress and the Perfect Pair of Boots

Photography by Michelle Bazis

Hey babes and happy Thursday!  How is your week going? I know it can be tough heading back to work after a long holiday weekend!  And I’m having a hard time adjusting to post-wedding life!  It’s very strange, but so nice, to not have to check-in and coordinate with a bazillion vendors, to not have to worry about my skin breaking out before the big day, and to not lay in bed at night thinking about the thousands of things I still need to do before the wedding.  But I’m also so sad it’s over!  Everyone said I would feel this way after the day was done, and unfortunately they were right.  I want to do it all over again!  Well, not the planning & writing checks part, but to experience the awesome day once more, would be so incredible!  I’m very thankful we hired the most amazing photographers and videographers that were able to capture all of the moments and memories!

The weeks leading up to the wedding were cray cray and I literally had no time to even think about daily outfits or what to wear.  Thankfully this cream swing dress (with pockets!) arrived and I wore the crap out of it!  Dresses are always so easy to wear.  They make you look instantly put together and people tend to say, oh you look so nice!  But in my head I’m thinking, well I’m wearing a dress because I just couldn’t decide what pants to wear today LOL.  And up until just a couple days ago, we’ve had some pretty mild weather for December.  I’m talking in the 50’s!  So this dress was that much easier to wear because I just had to throw on boots or booties with it for an instant outfit!  This dress is so soft and very flattering.  In fact, it’s just as comfy as leggings and an old sweatshirt, but is much more appropriate for meeting with wedding vendors and clients!  And because it’s the perfect mix of cozy and pulled together, I think I’m going got wear this dress while we travel on Saturday to Mexico for our honeymoon!  Who else has such a hard time traveling in the winter, going from a cold climate to hot sunny temps? I think a dress paired with leggings is the perfect combo for the plane ride, but then take off your leggings upon arriving to your tropical destination, and you’re instantly ready for tan legs!

My darling dress is from K. Ellis Boutique and right now you can get it for 40% off when using code HELLO2017, making this dress under $18!!
