In outfit news, how stinking cute is this $35 yellow floral skirt?! Yellow is quickly becoming my favorite color, as one could tell by my IG feed haha. Spring and Summer is when my zest for bright colors and fun prints really shine, and with that, I wanted to force myself to step out of my comfort zone and start wearing new silhouettes this season. I’ve always been a fan of graphic tees, like this $38 Sunday Funday cutie, but pairing it with a skirt is a bit of a departure for me, as I would normally wear it with cutoff jean shorts!
For the longest time I only looked to my skirt lineup when I needed to go to the office or to a special event. But I’m here to tell you that pairing skirts with fun tops and casual sandals is a great way to get more mileage out of them! I adore the print of this yellow mini and I think the tee gives it a more laid back, sassy look. Not to mention, this skirt is super comfy and so fun to wear! It also doesn’t wrinkle easy, making it a great piece to bring with you on vacation!
Of course you could easily dress this skirt up for work by adding a crisp white blouse and swapping out the espadrille wedges for closed-toe flats or heels. You could also layer a denim jacket or blazer for a completely different vibe! The length of this skirt is perfect for work and play, as it shows just enough leg without feeling like if the wind blows a little too hard you may give everyone a booty show! And it definitely passes the fingertip test – shout out to all those Catholic school girls who know what I’m talking about haha.
Be sure to use special code SABBY15 to take 15% off both my Sunday Funday tee and yellow skirt from The Pink Pig Boutique!
Do you like pairing tees with skirts? I think it’s my new favorite combo! I hope you girls have an amazing week and thank you so much for stopping by!
For Size Reference, I’m wearing a Small in the Tee and a Medium in the Skirt!
Thank you to The Pink Pig Boutique for partnering with me on today’s post! As always, all thoughts expressed are sincerely my own. And thank YOU for supporting the wonderful small businesses I work with! xoxo
