Hi babes and happy Monday! How was your weekend? Ours was pretty low key which was nice. On Friday night I completely reorganized my closet/office and it took for.ev.er. It wasn’t messy per say, rather just a bit too lived in, so I took everything out, moved some furniture around, purged a ton of stuff, and put it all back in! Michelle and I are going to be shooting my home office soon and I can’t wait to show you the finished product! I have to get a few more pictures framed and hung and I’m debating on getting a new rug. I’m thinking pink! Do you have any suggestions as to where to shop for new rugs?!
When I was reorganizing and deciding which items I wanted to keep and which items to pitch, I definitely noticed a few strong themes. Colors. Patterns. Longevity. These three areas of focus make up 98% of my wardrobe! My love of color, well duh. You guys know I’m a lover of color and never shy away from bright hues. Patterns – the more the merrier! And mixed together, yep, that’s my jam! Lastly, longevity is equally important. Longevity, to me, means quality. I always look for pieces that can stand the test of time, or at least more than one season! Personally, shopping on a budget is definitely a must for me, so the items I buy have to bring something to the table. In my ripe old age of 31, I’ve learned the hard way when it comes to buying cheap clothing that falls apart, literally at the seams, while wearing it and even though the item looks cute in the moment, the feeling you have is not cute. Because cheap is not ever in style! Affordable, yes. Cheap, no!
Also in my old age, I have rekindled a new love for dresses! And quality dresses, at that. This beautiful geometric printed Leota dress equals the Sabby Style trifecta! Colors, check. Patterns, check. Longevity, check! The quality of this dress is some of the best I’ve ever seen and it wears like a dream. I’m obsessed with the flirty ruffle skirt hemline! The 3/4 sleeves make it a great transitional piece from summer temps into Fall weather and the jewel tones also add to the versatility factor! I loved paring this dress with caged open-toe heels and a bright purple bag, but it will also look fantastic with tights, booties, and a moto jacket! Hello Fall date night, I see you!
What transitional pieces are you girls loving?!
