Hi friends and happy Thursday! How is your week going so far? Between my morning workouts, food logging, house chores, and an insane amount of blog work to do (not complaining!), January is already flying by! It’s been freezing these last few days, so I’ve been hunkered down and taking care of business. Before I know it I look up and it’s almost dinner time! This cold weather is a good excuse to stay in and get sh*t done! But a warm front is moving in and I couldn’t be happier. Who would have thought that 30 & 40 degree weather would get this Summer baby excited! And with the warmer aka not single digit temps, comes more Spring outfit inspiration! Last year I styled quite a few Off the Shoulder tops here on Sabby Style and I’m happy to report that the trend is still going strong. So without further ado, here’s my first OTS post of 2018! I’m seriously loving this darling striped sweater that I found at Miss Match Boutique. First, OTS tops are super flattering on all women and all body types! I’m not a huge fan of my upper arms (at the moment), so I love that I can show a little skin & shoulder, without having to go sleeveless. Second, how cute are those ruffles?! I think this extra detail & fabric gives the sweater more depth and warmth for these Winter to Spring months! Third, I can’t say no to stripes! This off white and black combo is super versatile and can be worn with all kinds of pants and jeans, as well as a variety of shoes and accessories! Fourth, I really like that this sweater isn’t a tunic. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of longer sweaters that you can wear with leggings, but I’ve been wanting to get more miles out of my belts, so I love that a little front tuck shows off my fun leopard belt!
And fifth, this fabulous sweater is 20% off with special code SARA20!
Now let’s talk about these jeans! Real talk, my butt in real life does not look this good haha but these jeans are working wonders on my backside! In this post I mentioned that I recently did a closet purge to evaluate what needed to stay, what needed to go, and what items were missing. After going through my denim, I realized I hardly have any jeans that don’t have big holes in the knees! While I love distressed jeans, there are occasions where ripped jeans aren’t the most appropriate. Plus I’m sick of hearing “Did you know you have holes in your jeans?” haha! It also dawned on me that I needed to mix up the fit and cut of my jeans. I have A LOT of high waisted jeans, because last year I felt extremely self conscious about my mid-section and looked to high waisted jeans to help keep my junk in and to give me a better shape! I would steer clear of mid-rise jeans, despite how cute they were. But this is a new year and I’m happy to report that I’ve been sticking with my workouts and am already feeling a bit more confident. So I said YES to these mid-rise dark washed jeans and absolutely love them! The raw hem cuff paired with the light distressing on the legs (but not holes, so not much skin shows!) makes for just the right amount of interest. The dark blue denim helps dress them a bit compared to a light wash that has more of a casual vibe.
And the best part, these jeans are also 20% off with special code SARA20!
And for size reference, I’m wearing a 5 and typically wear a 4/6 or 27/28 in denim!
