Hey girlfriends! How is your week going? Can you believe that we’re already into the second week of March?! This month, heck this year, is flying by and while I’m ready for warmer days and all things Spring, it does make me a tiny bit sad that time goes by so fast. March 22nd is Tony and I’s dating anniversary, and I can’t believe we’ve been together for 9 years! We were just babies when we started dating. He was still playing baseball and I was 22 and totally nuts, so it’s a miracle we survived two baseball seasons of long-distance! Facebook just notified me that it was our 9 year friendship anniversary the other day and I couldn’t help but laugh (and cringe) at my outfit choices! And I used to hit up those stupid tanning beds, so I was rocking the raccoon eye look. But, seriously, why didn’t someone tell me to adjust the shade of my concealer! Isn’t it funny to look back and remember how much you thought you knew back then? Like I was 22 and knew it all!
While my style has MAJORLY changed and I’m no longer afraid to be pasty white in the winter (such a concept, right?!), I noticed that I’ve always been a fan of color in my wardrobe! I don’t, and have never, shied away from bright colors and fun patterns. And even though that isn’t for everyone, it’s what makes me, ME. And this outfit is one that really embodies my sense of style and the confidence I have in myself! So let’s break this look down and explain why I’m totally digging it!…
The Top – I love the bow details on the sleeves! As I’m sure you’ve noticed, big sleeves, bell sleeves, blouses sleeves, etc. are all over the internet and blogs right now! Why have boring sleeves when you can put a bow on it? Aside from the sleeves, the white and blue stripes are so soft and pretty. Price – $44
The Earrings – I’ve been on a huge statement earring kick lately and these are the newest addition to my lineup! Tassels are also super popular this season, and I love that these earrings combine my love for color, stripes, and texture! They’re also not too heavy and won’t drag down those lobes! Price – $38
The Sunglasses – You girls know I love me some accessories, but don’t like to spend lots of moolah on them, and sunglasses are especially one thing I will not drop tons on. The Shoes – It’s no secret that I love shoes. I have a lot and I’m not ashamed! Fun fact about me, I grew up wearing a school and soccer uniform for 12+ years, so the only way to show off my personal style was through my shoes. And this still reigns true in my style today! It probably wasn’t super practical to buy neon orange heels, but this color is just too good. And one of my favorite color combos is blue and orange! Price – $80
