Spring Trunk Show with Andre Assous

Hey babes and happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  On Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting the Andre Assous Trunk Show at Von Maur and I was in shoe heaven!  I’ve been a long-time dedicated Von Maur shopper and am always thoroughly impressed with their expansive shoe selection.  In fact, I loved Von Maur so much that I actually worked there for a couple years during my early college years!  Though it’s been 10+ years since clocking in at Von Maur, Tony and I frequent the second floor (Men’s and Shoe Department) quite often.  It was about this time last year when I first noticed the Andre Assous display and was immediately drawn to their fabulous espadrilles!

Fun tidbit – Did you know that Andre is known as the “King of Espadrilles” in the fashion footwear industry!  Andre designed and engineered the iconic handsewn espadrille shoe that became a fashion statement in the 1970s.  If I could somehow have you touch and feel (run to your nearest department store that carries Andre Assous and seriously do!) the fabrics and textiles he uses on each of his shoes, you would be feeling butter on your feet!  We all love fashionable shoes, but often times we go without the quality in order to have an appealing aesthetic.  Well Andre Assous has pioneered the way and creates both a comfortable AND stylish shoes!

When he began designing shoes 40+ years ago in Spain, he drew inspiration from European influences and designs such as loafers and moccasins.  But as the fashion industry has evolved, Andre Assous has been there every step of the way!  His contemporary collection now includes a variety of heels, boots, wedges, flats, and sandals – all, of course, are made with the utmost precision and care for the craft and artistry of exceptional shoe making!  I mean, check out those fabulous color block flatform sandals I wore to the event.

And even better are the perfect price-points!  One would think that a high quality shoe would in turn cost an arm and a leg, but think again.  See those super cute sandals below??? At Von Maur they were priced at $89!  And you honestly wouldn’t believe what they felt like on your feet!  You guys, it was like walking on puffy baby clouds.  No joke.  You can buy a lot of ill-made shoes for a lot more than $89 bucks, so do yourself the biggest foot favor and try these babies out!

Don’t have a local Von Maur store near you? No worries!  You can purchase them online at vonmaur.com!

Regarding sizing, the brand representative Patrick, whom I worked with at the event, suggested to round up to the nearest whole size if you wear a half size!  For instance, I’m usually a 5.5 in sandals and am wearing a 6 in these cute flatforms!

If you have any other questions or want more information regarding Andre Assous shoes, the quality, the fit, etc. – please don’t hesitate to shoot me an email or leave a comment below!

Thanks so much for reading and have an amazing day! xoxo

Thanks so much to Andre Assous for having me host the shopping event at Von Maur!  I was compensated for my time, but as always, all thoughts and opinions are sincerely my own!  Thank you for supporting for the brands and businesses that allow me these opportunities! xoxo
