Hello and Happy Sunday Galpals! It is no secret that I am a lover of all things Kate Spade and her handbags can do no wrong! Pink and camel, check! Kelly green and a gold bow, check! Mint and black, check! A gorgeous robin’s egg blue satchel? I just could not pull the trigger, despite how badly I wanted to! And thank goodness I listened to my head, instead of my heart (for once!), because the very next day, I saw this blue beauty staring me in the face on our trusty IG! And to my surprise, and much delight, I found out that it was from Target and a mere $39.99! I was over the moon, and a bit shocked, that Target delivered an awesome KS dupe and it is a great quality bag. The structure is spot-on AND paired with the brilliant blue hue; it is the perfect spring accessory that you do not have to feel guilty about!
Peplum, Please! The structure of a peplum top has magical figure-flattering capabilities and adds instant sophistication to any ensemble. They truly are perfect for any occasion! They can be dressed up with a fabulous belt and stunning jewels, but can be easily dressed-down with a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans, leopard pumps and a cropped moto jacket! And then you add gorgeous floral patterns and beautiful pastel hues = my Heart’s desire!
Mad for Mint? Why yes I am! For the past two Spring seasons, I have been slowly adding minty blue items to my wardrobe and as it turns out, I have quite the collection! With a great pair of mint wedges as no exception. I purchased the most awesome (and super comfy, bonus!) pair of nude and mint BCBG wedges last May from TJ Maxx and I wear them All.The.Time. They go with me to work, happy hour with the girls, date night with ma boo, weddings and many other places; and they are always a hit! You can check them out on the ole IG. But unfortunately I could not find them online to link in this post, so I chose two other fabulous options that I think you ladies will really love!
Kimo No? Kimono you betcha! After seeing my uber stylish friend, Kate from For the Love of Fancy Blog sporting this gorgeous watercolor kimono, I knew I had to make it mine! Impulse buy? Guilty. Under $20? Semi-acceptable! I have never owned a kimono but was eager to try the look after seeing Kate making it look so effortlessly cool! We all know how much I love color, so this piece is definitely in my wheelhouse and I have BIG plans for it! You know those elusive Jcrew Mari sandals in Shocking Pink? After weeks of hunting them down last year, I finally got my hands on them and I think they will be the perfect match for this beautiful floral kimono!
CONFESSION: I am a shoe and purse gal. There is no denying it and I simply cannot help it. I blame it on my Grandma Sabaliauskas. I look just like her, get my tiny feet from her, and also was blessed/cursed with her love of shopping. But, due to a little thing called a budget, I have had to learn how to be a savvy shopper! And that is the name of my game; Sara’s Passion for Savvy Fashion. So true to form, I had to do my first ‘Splurge vs. Save’ and I hope you found it to be helpful and fun!
Cheers to Springtime goodness!
xoxo, Sara
