Hey GF’s! Someone please tell me that your weather is better than mine here in Omaha! Good Lord, Mother Nature, get your shite right because this summer baby is more than ready for some consistent sunshine and dry days! The weather forecast is ya know, like 100% chance of rain all week, taking us right into the holiday weekend. I have a 4-day weekend ahead of me and I better get some pool time in! What do you gals have planned for the long weekend?
Though I have my bikinis laid out and ready to go, chances are high I’ll need to bring a jacket along in my pool tote for those nights around the fire pit! And this is by far my favorite denim jacket. I find that jean jackets (if not uber distressed) can truly be dressed up or down. I love wearing my jean jacket draped over my shoulders because I think it gives you a more lady-like presence! When Michelle and I were shooting this look at one of our area’s beautiful parks, it started to cool down a bit, and I literally grabbed my jacket out of this reversible tote and flung it over me – voila, instant layers with a casual yet polished feel!
And how cute is this tan and pink tank from Leah B Boutique?! It fits like a dream (I’m wearing a M) and lays wonderfully. I’m a huge fan of tops that allow me to wear a normal nude bra. Call me boring or old lady-like, but I strongly despise having to wear a strapless bra. Maybe it’s because I still have yet to find a good fitting one after 30+ years… but regardless, I am all about those shirts and tanks that work with my fave braziers! Please tell me I’m not the only one that is like this?!
Now you girls know I love bright colors and fun prints, but I am also drawn to white & cream tops! Honestly, I have about 5-7 white t-shirts that are on constant rotation when the weekend rolls around. So when I saw that this tank combined my love for the color pink AND a light cream & tan duo, I didn’t have to think twice about adding it to my wardrobe! The layered ruffle hem detail has great movement and the crochet trim adds an element of interest. This pink & tan tank looks great with dark denim and also light-washed cutoff shorts! If you’re doing a lot of walking and it’s a warm summer day, swap out those wedges for your favorite espadrilles and ditch the dark jeans for a pair of crisp white denim!
