Hi friends and happy #tuesdayshoesday! This might be my favorite Insta trend and hashtag as of late, because shoes are my weakness! I’ve shared a few times that my love affair with shoes started in the high school years. I went to a private school and wore a uniform every day, and because of that, footwear was really the only way to express my individual style and personal flare! My sneaker collection was strong and those kicks were always white and fresh! So when the Tuesday Shoesday trend started, I was like, Oh, hello, this was created for me haha. In my opinion, footwear is the easiest way to define and showcase your style, no matter what budget your is, where you live, or what kind of career or lifestyle you may have! Sometimes I splurge, most usually on booties & boots, as they take a beating in Fall and Winter, but I also love my $30 heels and sandals from Target! Yes, Target. I have super small feet (size 5.5) and surprisingly, a lot of department stores in my area don’t carry anything smaller than a 6. So I was beyond happy when I discovered Nordstrom.com (PS – please bring one to Omaha!) and their endless shoe section, because pretty much every shoe comes in a 5.5! No, this is not sponsored haha.
It seems like my shoe buying really kicks into high gear come Springtime, because I’m so ready to see my feet again and to go open-toe! I was “window shopping” on Nordy’s late one night last week and stumbled upon these gorgeous blue floral appliqué shoes! I’m sure you’ve noticed the appliqué trend hitting blogs and stores this season (I styled this cute bag here), and I think it’s such a fun and interesting way to jazz up your look. These heels were perfect for me because yellow, pink, and blue are major color components to my wardrobe, so I knew I would be able to style these endless ways and already go with my entire closet. I also am a huge fan of the block heel, as it makes walking in taller heels so much easier, and these are super comfy! Plus they’re only $60 & ship for free!
And speaking of the color pink and it being an integral color to my style lineup, how sweet is this pretty pink pleated top from Anna Kayte’s Boutique?! You guys, this is the most perfect shade of pink and I’m obsessed with the pleated details and the little ruffle sleeves! I wish I could have you feel the fabric, too. It’s a lightweight, but not sheer, material and has great movement and a little bit of stretch! I guess you’ll have to experience is for yourself 🙂 I love this pink top paired with my ripped knee denim, but it also looks SO cute with the white denim shorts (styled here) and my favorite high waisted cutoffs! So #sorryImnotsorry for wearing this adorable top on repeat all Summer long!
