Thank you to Village Pointe for sponsoring today’s post!  As always, all thoughts are my own!  And thank YOU for supporting the businesses that allow me to operate Sabby Style full time! xoxo
Hi friends and happy Friday! Â I hope you had a fabulous week! Â I cannot believe it’s already September 20th and that we’re about to welcome October into our lives! Â So in honor of the first official day of Fall being just a few days away, I’ve teamed up with Village Pointe to show you three different ways to style my #1 wardrobe staple – a jean jacket! Â If you don’t own one yourself, well then what the heck are you waiting for girlfriend?!? Â I live in mine all Fall long, from tees, to sweaters, to dresses, and leggings with a sweatshirt; a jean jacket will take you all the places!
SO WHO CARRIES THE BEST JEAN JACKET? Â The only place I get my denim jackets from is Old Navy! Â The quality is top-notch and you can’t beat the price-point! Â This exact one is only $35!
So below you’ll find three different outfits; Day Casual, Work Casual, and Date Night Casual! Â Be sure to leave a comment below and let me know which look is your favorite!
DAY CASUAL
While I love all three looks, I must say I’m biased to anything comfy and cute, and this dress from Altar’d State is what comfy cute dreams are made of! Â I wish you could reach through this screen and feel how soft the fabric is. Â It has a nice stretch, but also has a bit of weight to it, which means it’s flattering and hugs in all the right places while camouflaging my imperfections! Â The knotted tie in the front hides that food baby and the side angled stripes give the illusion of a smaller waist – BONUS! Â I love that it’s long sleeve, which means it’ll take me from late Summer, deep into Fall, and even into early Winter. Â Simply swap out the white mules for booties or OTK (over-the-knee) boots!
PRO TIP – I always size up one in my jackets, as I want to be able to layer them over long sleeve tops and dresses! Â I prefer the look of an oversized denim jacket, plus it allows me to wear it with everything in my closet; making it the MVP of my closest!
For size reference – I’m wearing a Small in the dress and a Medium in the jacket.
Two of the biggest trends happening this Fall are leopard/animal print and pairing graphic tees with skirts, so I knew I had to share this look with you when I spotted these pieces at Altar’d State! Â If you work in a business casual office, this little combo would be perfect for you! Â I worked for a nonprofit doing business development and event planning, so our dress code was business casual, which allowed me to flex my outfit creativity and come up with fun and unique office-appropriate outfits! Â This exact look would 100% be something I could or would have worn!
And when I worked in an office, it was always freezing during the Summer months when the A/C would be blasting, so I would keep my jean jacket on the back of my door for that extra layer of warmth. Â Seriously, my jean jacket literally goes with me everywhere! Â If you work in a more business, less casual, setting, you could dress up this skirt and tee combo with a fitted blazer or cardigan and nude heels or flats. Â And if you want to take it from the office to happy hour, ditch the heels and throw on your favorite pair of white sneakers!
Nothing says date night like a little leopard dress, am I right?!? Â I absolutely love this dress; from the button detail to the swing skater cut and it has POCKETS! Â Another perk is that I can wear a normal bra with it, which is always a plus! Â I actually took this dress with me to Vegas last week and wore it to the NASCAR race and it was perfect because it kept me cool and comfy while the leopard print hid all the sweat that was happening haha. Â It was like 113 degrees on the track, so yeahhh, it was toasty!
One of my favorite combos is to pair shorts, skirts, and dresses with sock booties as we go from Summer to Fall and I love how these black booties bring a little edge and balance out the casual vibes of the jean jacket! Â I also wore this dress with white sneakers, so you can easily dress it down for a trip to the Farmer’s Market or exploring your city on the weekend!
