Hi galpals and happy Friday Eve! How was your week? Mine zoomed by, per usual, with lots of deadlines, new projects, and blog shoots, just to name a few! And I can’t believe Christmas is just 1.5 weeks away – like how is that even possible? At this time last year I was a stressed hot mess while tying up last minute details for our wedding, and I didn’t let myself enjoy the holiday, as all of my energy was focused on our NYE nuptials. Christmas is my favorite holiday (My Dad’s birthday is on Christmas Eve!), so I’m really happy to have a normal holiday this year, where I can focus on family and the reason for the season! I’m making up for lost time – because the only item I was focused on last year was my wedding gown – and I’ve definitely gotten into the holiday spirit this year when it comes to festive fashion!
I mentioned in this post that I try to find items that are not only suitable for the holidays, but are ones that I can wear long after the festivities are over! And this cream cardigan is a prime example of just that. It’s ultra cozy and has the perfect oversized fit! The embroidered flowers are so pretty and bring pops of color, which you know I love! I’m also pretty picky when it comes to white & cream tops. I don’t like off-whites that look yellow, and this cardigan is the best shade of a milky white! This is one of those sweaters that can be worn time and time again until we get through Winter & Spring – hello versatility! I opted for a simple black tee underneath, but you could definitely wear a red, pink, yellow, green or gray top underneath, as well. It also has pockets with the same darling embroidery detail. To bring some holiday vibes to this look, I chose my red bag & emerald stud earrings to highlight the flowers, making a simple yet striking statement!
Now let’s talk about these jeans. I typically shy away from buying jeans during the peak of Holiday season (for obvious reasons lol), but I just couldn’t pass them up! They are the perfect rise – mid to high but not ultra high – and they fit so darn good. I’m only 5″2 and I usually have to roll my jeans or cuff them, so it’s hard to tell in these photos, but they have a raw hem, which is super popular right now! They also have the just the right amount of distressing and don’t have large holes in the legs, which makes sense for Winter jeans because we’re trying to stay warm. Since getting these on Saturday, I’ve already worn them 3x and can’t wait to show you all the different ways I’ve styled them, so stay tuned!
