Hi friends and happy Friday eve! How has your week been so far? We’ve had a few rainy evenings and I was able to open the windows and it felt so nice! The warm days and cool nights are definitely my happy place because we get the best of both worlds – summer & fall. Sunny summer days call for great denim shorts and the breezy evenings are made for cozy knits and cute booties! You’ve heard me say over and over again that I’m more comfortable showing my legs and keeping my upper body under wraps. Which is why I love to wear shorts with long sleeved tops! This cozy cardi is the perfect weight and is a piece that can be worn throughout every season! The color is dreamy and I dig the draped shawl look! Hey, who doesn’t love a little shoulder drama? I can’t get enough of white and cream tops these days. Yes, I love bright colors. But there is something so comforting about a great closet staple that literally goes with everything, and works for every occasion! I’ve been wearing it non-stop and I’m not ashamed. A last minute Trader Joe’s run, throw it on and go. Office days working from home while sipping a cup of joe, put on your cozy sweater. And when you’re headed out for a date-night and are looking for a causal yet chic ensemble, it consists of boyfriends jeans, a cami tank, and you guessed it, this oversized sweater! Honestly, there’s no such thing as too many sweaters when they are as good as this one. I mean, how many times I’ve already worn and will be wearing it, the cost per wear is like practically zero!
And when I’m keeping it casual, I opt for simple yet striking gold jewelry. I saw this “Be You” necklace and it immediately struck a chord. Two simple words, one simple statement, yet in a world of instant perfection and facade, it’s a saying that seems difficult to grasp at times. It’s easy to get lost in the keeping up shuffle and the “I need that” mentality, but at the end of the day, all we have is our heart, hustle, and integrity. So if I can wear a little piece of jewelry that serves as a gentle reminder to be the best version of myself, I’m all for it!
And let’s quickly talk about that caaaauuuuute gold cuff?! You know I’m a sucker for arm charm and surprisingly I didn’t own a nice gold statement bracelet. My left wrist is usually heavily stacked with a watch and beaded gems, so this gold cuff is keeping my right wrist company!
