“Omaha, Somewhere in middle America”… Counting Crows
Hi friends and happy Thursday! I’m delighted to share that I was selected by Old Navy to represent my state in their #50styles50states campaign! I have been shopping at Old Navy ever since I was in grade school – you remember those American Flag t-shirts, right? Well needless to say Old Navy’s style and aesthetic has grown and blossomed over the years, and I’ve been enjoying their journey as a dedicated shopper. To me, Old Navy is a place that offers all of the latest and greatest trends at affordable prices. Fashion and style should be approachable for every woman and that is a mission that drives the Old Navy brand. And that is definitely a sentiment I convey through my Sabby Style platform!
With today being the first day of September, it goes without saying that my Fall Fever is running high and this Old Navy outfit perfectly depicts my Fall style! You girls know I love color, no matter what season it is. So when I saw these blush pink jeans that were slightly distressed, my heart jumped for joy! The fit is fantastic with a good amount of stretch, but they still hold their shape. Not only are these great for Fall & Winter, but when Spring rolls around, they will transition seamlessly! This was also my first time trying out the wide brim hat trend. See what I’m saying, Old Navy’s awesome prices make trying new trends easy with no long-term commitment needed! Hats of all shapes and sizes are definitely on-point for Fall & Winter and I’m excited to add this new accessory to my wardrobe.
Now, I needed another striped top like I needed another purse – oh wait, I got this gray tote, too… I digress – but I just couldn’t resist this cozy tunic! Last year I got this exact same top in the royal blue and white version and wore it to one too many Creighton basketball games. People probably were wondering what kind of fashion blogger I was since it appeared I only owned one shirt. But a girl likes what she likes! This one has a side slit which makes it easy to do a front-tuck or a side knot, like I styled it here. This is such a great layering piece and it’s a wardrobe staple for every season! Another Fall must-have is a fresh pair of tan booties! I’ve bought countless pairs of shoes from Old Navy and I have yet to be disappointed in the quality or fit. This neutral shade is right up my alley and the ankle height works great with jeans of all lengths and leg shapes! There really isn’t anything I don’t love about Fall. In Nebraska, the arrival of Fall means Husker football parties, seasonal pumpkin beers, homemade chili, Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, and feasting on local seasonal veggies!
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, my style is a direct reflection of my Midwest roots and the values of hard work, faith, and love that has been instilled in me! When thinking about my style, there are 3 common themes that are influenced by my hometown state. One, my love for color and patterns is inspired by the four beautiful seasons we experience in Nebraska. Each season is a fresh start and a new chance to awaken your wardrobe and personal style! Mixing classic prints such as stripes, with quintessential Midwest plaid, is how I combine my heart for home and love of fashion. Second, my personal style is a blend of function and fashion. I shop for my life, not for events. Because my life is the main event! Every day is a chance to dress for success and to be the best version of yourself. And third, being a savvy shopper is my key to closet bliss. My father is first generation-born in the USA and I’m deeply proud of my Lithuanian heritage. My grandparent’s bravery and my dad’s incredible work ethic & drive to provide for his family, has forever impacted my view on money and what something is worth. Old Navy allows me to try out trends while stocking up on staple pieces that will follow me through the seasons and years! It’s my favorite place to shop for all phases of life & style!
