Hi babes and happy almost Friday! We’ve had some great weather here in Omaha the past two weeks – aside from the crazy tornado-producing storms and incessant rain yesterday – so I officially busted out the cut-off shorts and Jergens Natural Glow! Does anyone else get first day of shorts jitters? We’ve been hiding them away for months and months and it can feel so weird to bare the stems once more! And because I think everybody feels more confident when you have a little tan going on, I use tinted lotion a few weeks before I plan to ditch the pants! And to avoid the orange “glow” & awkwardly bronzed palms, I mix Jergens with my regular body lotion – plus it makes that $10 bottle last longer!
Today’s post is all about my most recent and most “liked” photos on Instagram! I know many of you follow along over @sarasab and use the LikeToKnow. It app to shop my IG looks, but if that’s not your jam, I want you to know that I’m so happy you’re here reading this blog post and am more than happy to provide the deets from my recent IG faves!
Strappy Nude Heels // Taupe Platform Sandals // Blue Suede Heels // Printed Platform Sandals – sold out // Leopard Heels – under $77!
When it comes to my spending habits, once Spring hits, I tend to over-indulge on fabulous new shoes! I feel as if I’m been hiding away all winter in the same black & gray booties and the same closed-toe nude flats, and I seriously can’t wait to get that first pedi and bare my tootsies! So you better believe that as soon as Easter starts to approach, I start craving all things pastel and florals, which leads me to fill my shopping carts to the brim with fun new shoes! I love to mix different price-points along with closet staples and trendy, fun cuties! Strappy nude sandals are a closet must-have and I wear them with everything! I actually just got this new pair because the pair I had for 5 years finally bit the dust and could no longer make public appearances!
“As Far as I’m Concerned, Leopard is a Neutral” – Jenna Lyons. Oh Jenna… I’m pretty sure her and I could be BFFs, because yes girl, leopard print goes with everything! Surprisingly I didn’t own a pair of ankle strap chunky, leopard heeled shoes (shocking, I know!) and fell head over heels for these leo beauts! The chunky heel is super fun and lends a nod to a boho, 70s vibes, which I love to dabble in. I loved them so much that I immediately added the blue suede pair to the line-up! I’ve always had great luck with Steve Madden shoes and find that they hold up very well, season after season, which gave me that extra boost of confidence when purchasing these heels. When you find a brand you love, it makes online shopping that much easier!
And speaking of a 70’s vibe, how cute are those taupe platform sandals?! These gals were under $35 and are surprisingly comfy for the price and heel height. I have been wearing the taupe pair on major repeat with my dark washed, flare jeans!
Striped Tee c/o SheIn // Skirt c/o Mindy Mae’s Market – only $35! // Tan Booties // Blue Saddlebag – under $40! // Gold Bib Necklace
Stripes and Florals make a perfect pair, if I do say so myself! I’ve had so many galpals share that they love how I mix prints and colors together – which makes my heart so happy! A black and white striped top is a closet staple, as it can be mixed and matched with so many pieces. I’ve worn this striped top with distressed boyfriend jeans and dark denim cut-off shorts! It can be dressed up or dressed down and the fit of this affordable top is perfect – not tight but not baggy!
This adorable floral skirt (with pockets and on sale for $35!) is ideal for warm days – whether it be workwear or as a great party piece for showers and weddings! I’m wearing a Small (I’m normally a 2/4 in skirts) and found this to run a tiny bit on the small side – so consider sizing up!
Printed Tunic c/o Chicwish // Denim // Similar Yellow Bag // Monogram Necklace // Pineapple Gold Coin Necklace // Pink Lipstick // White Beaded Tassel Bracelet Set // Watch
Ok, I have a serious girl crush on this adorable boho printed tunic! The billowy sleeves, along with the crochet detail, gives this flowy top a super feminine and chic touch. For this look, I liked how the top looked with a classic pair of true-blue jeans and added my favorite gold jewelry! I’ve also worn it with high-waisted black skinny jeans and nude wedges!

“I just want to drink wine, save animals, and take naps” – The Wisest Person Ever. This tee perfectly describes my life! Maybe substitute the wine for beer or a delicious bloody mary, but you get the drift! I don’t often wear tees that have sayings on them, but this 3/4 sleeve and side slit top had me at save animals. I wore this outfit last weekend for a shopping & sushi date with Tone and it was the perfect amount of comfort and cuteness! Side note – 9 times out of 10, if I’m wearing shorts, I always try and pair them with a long sleeve (or even short sleeve in the dead of summer) but I rarely will wear a tank and shorts. There’s something about the balance of showing a little without showing it all that I love. And the same goes with jeans & pants. I’ll sport a cute peplum tank or casual v-neck tee when covering the stems!
I hope you find these IG Round-Up posts helpful and enjoyable! And if you ever have any specific requests or topics you want me to cover, please don’t hesitate to shoot me an email! Thanks so much for reading and have an amazing day!
