Hi sweet friends and happy Sunday! How was your week? We had a jam-packed short week filled with work to-do’s, events, and house stuff so I was sure glad we didn’t have any set plans this weekend! Friday night I laid low at home to catch up on the dvr and snuggle with the pups. Sometimes you just need some down time in your jammies! Then on Saturday afternoon Tone and I scoped out a new happy hour spot with the cutest indoor/outdoor patio yesterday, which worked out great because the storm on Friday night blew in some cooler weather and took our temps from almost 100 down to the low 80’s! Tony and I are big happy hour proponents because our youngest dog is diabetic, so we have to be home every night at 7:30 to give Roger his insulin. And once we get home, we usually don’t want to leave again, so we’ve become quite the happy hour aficionados. Which is why I’m always looking for easy breezy tops that instantly make me feel cute and put together without having to do much else! Because Summertime daytime = no fuss!
I’ve been a huge fan of peplum tops and tanks for many a’years now. There’s just something about that little ruffle detail that gets me every time! When I spotted this floral peplum cutie from Anna Kayte’s Boutique, I knew it would be a new Summer fave! It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for anything floral haha and I just adore the bold pink hues and how the cream and green tones balance the bright pink. The front buttons add a little pizzazz and this fabric is so so soft and breathable! I couldn’t resist pairing pink tassel earrings with it to compliment the pink flowers, but you could easily ditch the earrings and keep it minimal with a dainty gold necklace. And on those extra steamy days, throw your hair up into a big messy bun and slide on sandals for a simple casual ensemble!
Whether you pair it with distressed denim, cutoff blue jean shorts, white shorts, or wide leg linen pants, this top is truly the perfect light weight, throw on and go tank that every girl needs for those hot Summer weekends!

For size & fit reference – I’m wearing a Medium but it’s pretty big on me (a Small would definitely be a better fit), so I added a layering cami tank underneath to avoid showing too much skin on my chest and below my arms!
