Hi sweet friends and happy Friday! Â I’ve been fighting a nasty head cold all week long and am finally turning a corner, just in time for the weekend! Â Who gets a head/chest cold in mid-March? Â After not leaving the house for four straight days, we snuck out for little bit yesterday afternoon to celebrate our TEN YEAR Anniversary! Â I cannot believe we’ve been together for an entire decade. Â We’ve never broken up once, despite me packing my sh*t a few times haha. Â We were such babies when we started dating and it’s just crazy to look back on the last ten years and reflect on all of the life we’ve lived – some really good, and some really bad. Â But through it all, we’ve never given up on one another and we truly are best friends! Â So in true Sara and Tony form, we went out for happy hour at our favorite sushi establishment and then grabbed a big beer at the sports bar next to our house to watch some March Madness basketball! Â And then we were home by 7pm to give Roger his insulin haha yep, we lived it up on the big 1-0 Anni!
While I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon outing, I did make T promise to take me on a proper date in the next week or two because I just got this little black dress and cannot wait to wear it for a date night! Â First of all, how fun are those pleats?!? Â They have so much movement and flow – creating an easy breezy vibe. Â Black dresses don’t normally come to mind when I think about Spring outfits, but the beautiful embroidered flowers on this dress make it a great Spring piece! Â You can pull from the different floral hues and pair fun shoes and accessories to add extra pops of colors! Â The sheer detailing on the sleeves is such a pretty feminine touch and the bell sleeves are right on-trend for the season. Â The shorter hem definitely keeps this dress on the fun & flirty side, making it perfect for a date night or girls night out!
Style Tip: Â One of the only fashion “rules” I follow is that you can show it all, but not all at the same time! Â The shorter hem on this dress is a great balance to the higher, more modest neckline; highlighting my legs and letting my shoes do all the talking! Â Next time I wear this sassy LBD, I plan to put my hair up in a big messy topknot to create a no-fuss, effortless look while showcasing the embroidered detail on the chest and the sheer sleeves! Â If you are wanting to achieve a more casual, laid-back look, I would style this dress with gladiator sandals and tie a chambray or denim jacket around the waist and keep the jewelry to a minimum – an ideal outfit for the Farmer’s Market or a downtown stroll on a beautiful Spring weekend!
This darling dress is an extra 15% off with special code Sabby15, which makes it just $35 from Amarello Boutique!
For size reference – I’m wearing a Small and am 5″3. Â If you’re looking for more length, size up!
