Hi babes and happy Thursday! The beautiful Fall weather has landed which means it’s time to start brainstorming Fall date night looks! Tony and I have two dogs, Franklin and Roger, whom we adore more than most humans, so we are definitely homebodies and enjoy our cozy nights snuggled in. And because Roger has diabetes, we have to administer insulin shots to him every day at 7:30am and 7:30pm. While we happily do our puppy parent duties, it does sometimes hinder our plans! So in the Summer, we tend to have day dates and hit up our favorite happy hour sushi spots so we can be home by 7. But in the Winter, we turn into night owls and usually go to reverse happy hour after our dog responsibilities are taken care of! Cue date night ideas including my favorite moto jacket and these easy jogger pants!
Lately I’ve been crushing on items that can be styled a multitude of ways – especially going from day to night. Tone and I aren’t huge on fancy dinners – we’re budget conscious and I have tummy issues – so we’re pretty laid back when it comes to our date nights! And me wearing a fancy dress doesn’t happen on the reg, so my idea of a date night look consists of otherwise closet basics that I can dress up while still feeling comfortable & confident! Honestly and truly, black joggers are one item that needs to be in every girl’s closet. I wear them with my chucks or nikes, peep toe booties, and heels! This pair has a drawstring waistband and pockets, which I love because I can wear them with a sweatshirt for running errands, a cozy sweater for dinner at a friend’s house, and a structured jacket, like this, for a chic and casual date night ensemble!
For this look, I wanted to show off my caged heels and a little ankle, so I rolled them up a couple times for a more fitted look. I’m always freezing indoors, especially at restaurant and bars, so I never leave home without a sweater or jacket, even in the dead heat of summer! I bought this black moto jacket last Winter and it was the best $98 I’ve ever spent. I have worn this thing like whoa! I’m amazed how well it has held up and still looks new. It was the only jacket I took with me to London and Paris this past March and I was pleasantly surprised how warm it kept me. The structured shoulders slim the arm area, which I greatly appreciate! It’s back again this year and because I love this one so much, I bought it in blush. I hate saying goodbye to Summer, but great fitting jackets & versatile joggers make me excited for upcoming date nights and Fall weather!
