Hi babes and happy Tuesday!  I hope you had a great long holiday weekend!  It was hottttt here in Omaha so I pretty much lived at the pool all weekend long.  I mean what else is there to do when it’s 100 degree by 1pm?!  Sometimes the weather during this weekend can be super chilly and still Spring-like, so I was so thankful for the family time and sunshine.  And since Memorial Day is the “unofficial” start to white pants season, naturally I had to chat about my fave white jeans and how awesome they are!

It took me yearssssss (literally, that is no exaggeration) to find the perfect pair of white jeans!  It is no easy task.  Either they are too thin, so you can see every dimple or dent through the fabric.  OR they are too thick and feel heavy and stiff, which is not what you want when it’s warm and humid outside!  I also had a hard time finding a good pair that were high waisted.  I’m a huge proponent of mid to high rise cuts, so anything low rise or “sits at the hips” is a no-go for me!  I also wanted a bit of distressing detail on them.  Some recommended I DIY and do the distressing myself, but if you know me, or have seen any of my former scissor projects, then you know this is not my forte!  And as if all of the above wasn’t hard enough to find, turns out that finding a pair that weren’t super long and didn’t need to be rolled up a three times is also tricky.

After many hopeful attempts which turned into disappointing returns to the store, I just about gave up and lost all hope until I saw this pair all over the Gram last year!  At first I saw them on my ultra thin, tall, and darling fellow bloggers and thought, so cute on you!  But I doubt they will be flattering on me.  But then I saw more bloggers, of all sizes, wearing them and raving about how great they were, so I decided to get the 4-1-1 myself.  After reading the mostly positive reviews, I placed my order and I’ve never been happier!  Not to mention they’re only $75 and fit like a dream.  I did size up to allow for a bit more give and grace on the backside.  These have the perfect amount of stretch, coverage, are high waisted but not super high, have shallow, but usable pockets, feature the right amount of distressing, and come in shorter lengths – no hemming required!  I’ve been wearing these white jeans for well over a year now and have zero complaints!

You know what else I have zero complaints about??? This gorgeous neon pink top!  I mean, hello perfect shirt that every color-loving girl needs.  You babes know I’m all about getting the most bang for your buck, which is why I’m always looking for pieces that can take you from the office to happy hour to date night and then to Church!  If you hate the color pink, then skip to the end of this post haha because I’m crushing hard on this pretty number.  I’m already envisioning numerous outfit pairings for this top, so to help give you some inspiration, here are my ideas:

OFFICE – bold colors with tailored cuts make the perfect match when it comes to Summertime office attire!  If this v-neck is slightly too revealing for your work environment, simply add a white or black lace or crochet cami tank underneath.  From green or royal blue to polka dots or stripes, a well fitting pair of ankle pixie pants would be perfect with this blouse!  You could certainly opt for a pencil skirt, as well.  And if your office is more on the business rather than casual side, a classic blazer would layer wonderfully over this top!

HAPPY HOUR – It’s 5 o’clock on a Friday and Lord knows you are ready for a cocktail with your favorite coworkers!  With it being Summer and that patio is calling your name, ditch the blazer and closed toe pumps or flats, and slide into a pair of wedges or open-toe heels!  When I worked a nine to five, I always kept a pair of cute sandals or heels in my car that I could slip into if I went out with my coworkers after work, which turned to to be quite often because I worked with the best people, who are still my friends!  Ok back to happy hour…. another easy way to transition your look from work to play is to add a pair of statement earrings.  Just like my shoes, I always kept a few extra pairs in my purse or desk in case I wanted to spruce up for an out of office meeting!  One of my favorite retailers is having a huge 70% off sale, so now is a great time to stock up!

DATE NIGHT – Nothing says like I got a sitter and my husband is taking me out on the town than a neon pink blouse, brining you all the sassy vibes!  For a night out with my boo, I would wear white denim (because that’s the only denim I wear in the Summer) or a high-waisted pair of cutoff jean shorts!  Since this top has flowy sleeves and covers most of my arms, I would feel comfortable wearing it with my short shorts!  The distressing on the shorts balances the polished details from the blouse and by adding wedges, you achieve an effortless yet sexy look for a Summer night out!  And if you’re single and ready to mingle, this would be a great outfit for a GNO!

SUNDAY MASS – My Sunday best most definitely always includes some version of pink, so I would certainly wear this for Church!  Similar to how you would style this for work, an A-line or Mid skirt would be darling, especially ones that have a bold print, such as florals or stripes!  If that seems a bit too aggressive for your specific worship environment, keep the bottoms simple and add a statement necklace.   Also, if you are looking for a bit more modesty, a layering tank that has a higher neckline would be a solid undergarment choice for this scenario!
