Hello loves and Happy Tuesday! I can’t believe the time has finally arrived for Tony and I to make our way to New York! Tony used to play for the Staten Island Yankees so he will be my personal tour guide and I simply cannot contain my excitement! We are going to visit his old stadium, do lots of shopping and take in all the sites!
I titled this post ‘BlueJay Love’ because Tony and I are huge Creighton Bluejay Basketball fans and never miss a game! Well, I had to miss two last year because of Graduate School, but it was for a good cause 😉 And, if you didn’t know, our Jays are pretty damn good this year and have the National Player of the Year, Doug McDermott, on the team! This has been such a fun and exciting season and it’s been awesome to witness history in-the-making; Doug hit his 3,000th point during the last home game and beat his career-high points scored during one game! We have been talking about making a trip out to NYC for six years now, and when we learned that the Jays were moving to the Big East, we had a pretty good idea that this was just the perfect time to plan a trip! So we, along with 2,000 other fans, are following them all the way to Madison Square Garden to witness some post-season magic and enjoy The Big East tourney! I’m sure I am not the only gal who loves some college ball and I can’t get enough of March hoops!
I will be sure to share all the highlights and ensembles of our trip when we return, because I am most certain that this experience and City will leave me with so much to discuss!
Thanks so much for stopping by and Roll Jays!!!
xoxo, Sara
