Hi friends and happy Wednesday! I’m happy because it feels like Monday but we’re just two days away from Friday and after a nice holiday weekend away from my inbox and laptop, I’m back in the blogging saddle and am so excited to share this gorgeous blue wrap dress with you! Since realizing how dumb it was of me to get rid of all of my dresses last year, I’ve been adding them to my closet in droves. Blue is one of my favorite shades to wear and this hue is so soft and pretty! It’s no secret that pastels are a must for Spring but they’re also pretty fabulous for Summer. This floral print is feminine and romantic, which is a bit of a departure from the typical bold and bright florals that I lean towards, but I just couldn’t resist the wrap!
Wrap dresses are God’s gift to women of all sizes and I think the wrap instantly makes what would be a basic/standard dress into a statement maker! Honest to goodness, this silhouette is flattering on every body type and I think DVF got a direct flight to heaven when she designed the wrap dress! Of course since the inception of her ground-breaking concept and design, many designers and clothing makers alike have replicated the wrap and you can find this dress in every color, print, and price-point. I opted to leave my chest bare and rock the v-neck, but if you were going to a more conservative event or to Church, then you could easily wear a lace cami tank or bralette underneath to provide just a tad more coverage! You can also adjust the strings, which gives you breathing room for when you go through that buffet line twice and the food baby is is bumpin’!
