Hi gals and happy Wednesday! Let me just dive right in and tell you how much I love this tunic! It is the epitome of a warm weather staple. The boho print is super fun and the embroidery/crochet detail gives it that extra interest and sass! The cut, while loose and flowy, is still super feminine and chic! I love how it looks tucked in to my high-waisted jeans. I will be wearing this flirty, fun top with cut-off jean shorts and lace-up pointed toe flats (just got these, I’m obsessed!) the moment we get into the 80’s – well, and after I get a much needed tan and a few workouts in! As for the v-neck, I was comfortable with it for a weekend date with Tone, but I wouldn’t/couldn’t go this low for work. But I want to wear it to work, like everyday. So, I plan to take a tiny safety pin in order to close the gap just a bit. This little trick gives any of your borderline “should I or shouldn’t I” tops lots of versatility for many occasions and settings! And because I don’t like my chest (it’s where I have the most sun damage, unfortunately), I like to layer my necklaces to take away from my bare chest when I wear lower cut tops. Someday I would like to explore laser therapy or some other non-home treatment, but until then, I layer my favorite gold pieces and no one is the wiser!
Now let’s talk about these gorgeous blue suede shoes! The color is quite similar to Serenity, one of Pantone’s 2016 Color of the Year! The chunky heel gives the classic ankle strap sandal a new vibe, and I personally find them to be more comfortable than a skinny heel. I’m majorly crushing on all shades of blue this season and can’t get enough of pretty pastels for Spring & Summer. I think pastels are the new neons! And this color looks flawless with all of my new & old closet staples. Personally, I think that ankle strap heels make your legs look longer! The old rule of ankle straps cutting you off and making you look short & frumpy is out the window, especially when the strap is thin and dainty. I think it accentuates my ankles & slims my calves! And you know what else, you can dress these heels up or down! Whether you are wearing a pretty pink cocktail dress or coral maxi dress for an evening affair or you pair them with boyfriend jeans and a basic white tee for a Happy Hour sushi date (you guys know I love my HH sushi), the options are endless!
