Hi friends and happy hallelujah Friday! We made it through the week and it’s time to kick back and relax! Well, at least for you hopefully! Tony and I have our marriage retreat tonight for 3 hours and then all day on Saturday. I’m remaining optimistic that it’s going to be a valuable experience with some good takeaways, however Tone is not so optimistic. I mean, it is college football Saturday! Sure, I could think of a few other things I would rather do with my Saturday, but I’m also feeling very blessed and thankful that we have the freedom to marry in the religion of our choice. Perspective, right?! But you gals know the moment the clock strikes 4:30 on Saturday afternoon, T and I will head straight to our favorite HH sushi spot to “decompress” :0
Tony’s birthday is next week and I’m planning my looks for a week of celebrations! We like birthday weeks, not a day, in our household. Thursday is his actual b-day and we’re going to the Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls exhibition game right here in Omaha! We’re huge Creighton Basketball fans, so it’ll be very cool to watch two of CU’s former best players (Kyle Korver & Doug McDermott) match up against each other. I will not be wearing these thigh-high boots to the game, but I plan to wear them all weekend long when the birthday cheer continues on! I shared in this post that I finally splurged on my first pair of OTK boots and how I regretted it for a while, but now I’m at peace with that purchase. Well zero shame or guilt was had when I bought these thigh-high boots for under $70!!! You guys, that sh*t cray. The heel height is perfect for hours of wear, the size zip makes them a breeze to get on, and I LOVE that I can adjust how tight they are on my upper thigh. No one wants a thigh muffin top! These boots look amazeballs with dresses, with or without tights/leggings! I honestly couldn’t believe it when I saw how inexpensive they were. I had been wanting to get a thigh-high pair for quite some time, but would never spend $600+ on boots. Well patience and lots of google searching pays off when you find a steal of a deal on a classic closet staple to have for years to come!
And the steals don’t stop there! My leopard boho tote is the bomb.com. It also comes with a bonus mini bag/clutch!
