Hi friends and happy weekend! I apologize for being a bit m.i.a. this week, but there’s been a lot going on, good and bad. On Tuesday evening, my Grandma passed away. She suffered from dementia, and while it’s very sad to say good bye, it makes my heart happy to know that her mind and body are at peace now in heaven. On Wednesday my cousins came into town and I got to meet his new baby boy and that was such a joy! It’s such an interesting juxtaposition; we’re gathering because there was a death, but there is still so much life to celebrate, especially that of a new generation. And I tell you what, that little boy has to be one of the sweetest little babies in all the land! I don’t usually have baby fever, but I did that afternoon haha. It was such a nice visit and I know my Grandma would have been so happy to see all of her grandkids together!
So after this week, it goes without saying that I’m ready for the weekend, especially since we have NO PLANS! Do you know how nice that is?! It’ll be a great time to regroup and prepare for the busy week ahead. From blog dates, blog shoots, and work meetings, my days are jam packed and I don’t have much time to think about what to wear. Enter go-to easy dresses. I’ve mentioned a few times that last year I got rid of every single dress in my closet, and since realizing that was #sodumb, I’ve been adding them back into my wardrobe with rapid speed! I just got this yellow and pink color block dress last week and I love how spunky and fun it is. Plus it has pockets, so it’s pretty much a no brainer! I love that I can wear it with heels and statement earrings for a dressier look, or I can pair it with sandals and simple studs for errands and meetings. When I meet with clients for work, that is exactly the look I try to achieve – cute, casual, relatable, and fun – because that is what Sabby Style stands for! The length of this dress is appropriate for meetings, a causal office setting, a laid back Church service, or even a bridal or baby shower, and the pops of color keep it fun and bright! And I just got these pink mirrored sunnies and I will be rocking them all Summer long!
