Hi sweet friends and happy Thursday from Omaha! We made it home last night around midnight and were greeted with cold weather and leaves on the ground, which is quite the change of scenery from the last 18 days spent in sunny paradise! Those 2.5 weeks of pure relaxation and being (mostly) disconnected was much needed. Sometimes you just need to hit the pause button for a reset! And as bittersweet as it can be to have your vacation come to an end, I’m pretty darn excited to be back into the Fall swing of things! We’ve got a full & fun month ahead – with a wedding, our Godson’s birthday, Creighton basketball starting, a KC road trip, Thanksgiving, and a Katy Perry concert – I fully appreciate all of our blessings and opportunities right here at home. So what better way to kick off the heart of Harvest than with a festive Fall outfit at the cutest pumpkin-filled amphitheater!
This little part of Village Pointe is a must-see spot every Fall and I couldn’t wait to shoot this cozy number from the Buckle and Lucky stores! When I spotted this heather gray sweater, I fell in love right away because hellooo, how darling are the sleeves?!? Jazzed up basics are my jam, and this sweater is one that can be worn countless ways and for a variety of occasions, such as work and play! And it’s on sale for under $30! You girls know I’m typically drawn to bold and bright colors, but I do appreciate a neutral wardrobe staple, and this sweater is just that. The ribbing detail adds some interest and the tie sleeves are on-trend, but aren’t too over-the-top, which means you can wear it season after season!
I’ve mentioned quite a few times that I’m a huge proponent of florals in the Fall (and all year long), so naturally I had to snag this pretty scarf! I adore the marigold yellow and deep purple flowers with hints of soft pink, and not to mention it goes perfectly with the gray/purple sweater. I honestly believe that you don’t need to only wear dark, muted colors to dress “Fall-like”! Which is why I absolutely adore these gray booties! I’m super picky when it comes to Fall shoes. Black booties tend to make my legs look shorter than they already are, and most browns are too dark, so when shopping for a new pair of booties each season, I look for cooler tones, such as grays and taupes. This under $40 pair is right up my alley because the color is perfect for my style, the heel height is just right, and the cut out on the front make them stand out among a sea of boring booties!
Aside from how perfectly decorated and darling Village Pointe is during the Fall, I found my sweater, scarf, and booties all while shopping there! And for under $40, to boot <— See what I did there? I hadn’t shopped at Buckle or Lucky stores in quite some time (you know when you get in that shopping rut and don’t think outside the box), but I won’t be skipping over them anymore because both stores are full of seriously awesome Fall goodies at unbeatable prices. I mean, booties for under $40? Sold!
