Christmas Eve Outfit Inspiration – How to Dress Up a Sweatshirt with Festive Accessories

Hey beauties and happy Christmas Eve, Eve!  Tone and I have been crazy busy with work projects, as well as doing all of our Christmas shopping (late I know!) this past week, which has me living in this striped gray number!  No joke, I’ve worn it 3x this week.  Who else grabs what’s on your chair or bench when you’re short on time and need to not think about what you’re putting on?  Hey, when you find something that is just as cozy as it is cute, you can’t help but reach for it over and over!  I’ve been swooning over all the Christmas dresses and fancy outfits I’ve been seeing lately, but I have to be real, when I think of what to wear to my family’s Christmas Eve gathering, a cocktail dress or midi skirt does not come to mind.  Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE getting all dolled up and my fashion blogger heart loves a good festive holiday number!  But when it actually comes to getting dressed on Christmas Eve and I know I’m going to be spending all day + night at my parents’ house – eating, drinking and watching A Christmas Story on repeat, with a very strong possibility of having a sleepover, per my mom’s request – I definitely opt for a comfortable yet festive outfit!  Anyone else with me?  So I tend to lean towards dressing up causal pieces, like this striped sleeve sweatshirt, by adding my new favorite jeans & red heels.  I personally think pairing jeans with heels is a great way to achieve a glammed up casual vibe, which I’m all about for date night with T or Happy Hour with the girls!

To create this look for yourself…

all you need is this cozy & flattering striped sleeve sweatshirt, your favorite jeans that hide that food baby, to put on your favorite heels, and add a festive or handbag!

Who says casual has to be boring, right?!

And you girls know that I think it’s so important to buy pieces that can be worn time and time again, which is another reason why I’m all about this top!

There’s nothing better than a great basic to get you through these Winter months, and this sweatshirt from Anna Kayte’s Boutique will do just that!  I sized up to a Medium for that perfectly oversized fit!
