Hi galpals and happy Friday Eve! How was your week? Mine zoomed by, per usual, with lots of deadlines, new projects, and blog shoots, just to name a few! And I can’t believe Christmas is just 1.5 weeks away – like how is that even possible? At this time last year I was a stressed hot mess while tying up last minute details for our wedding, and I didn’t let myself enjoy the holiday, as all of my energy was focused on our NYE nuptials. Christmas is my favorite holiday (My Dad’s birthday is on Christmas Eve!), so I’m really happy to have a normal holiday this year, where I can focus on family and the reason for the season! I’m making up for lost time – because the only item I was focused on last year was my wedding gown – and I’ve definitely gotten into the holiday spirit this year when it comes to festive fashion!
I mentioned in this post that I try to find items that are not only suitable for the holidays, but are ones that I can wear long after the festivities are over! And this cream cardigan is a prime example of just that. It’s ultra cozy and has the perfect oversized fit! The embroidered flowers are so pretty and bring pops of color, which you know I love! I’m also pretty picky when it comes to white & cream tops. I don’t like off-whites that look yellow, and this cardigan is the best shade of a milky white! This is one of those sweaters that can be worn time and time again until we get through Winter & Spring – hello versatility! I opted for a simple black tee underneath, but you could definitely wear a red, pink, yellow, green or gray top underneath, as well. It also has pockets with the same darling embroidery detail. To bring some holiday vibes to this look, I chose my red bag & emerald stud earrings to highlight the flowers, making a simple yet striking statement!
Now let’s talk about these jeans. I typically shy away from buying jeans during the peak of Holiday season (for obvious reasons lol), but I just couldn’t pass them up! They are the perfect rise – mid to high but not ultra high – and they fit so darn good. I’m only 5″2 and I usually have to roll my jeans or cuff them, so it’s hard to tell in these photos, but they have a raw hem, which is super popular right now! They also have the just the right amount of distressing and don’t have large holes in the legs, which makes sense for Winter jeans because we’re trying to stay warm. Since getting these on Saturday, I’ve already worn them 3x and can’t wait to show you all the different ways I’ve styled them, so stay tuned!
Both my cozy sweater and super flattering jeans are from Miss Match Boutique and my Sabby Style girlfriends can take 20% off with code SARA20!

Hey friends! I’m just full of joy and oh so excited to share this post with you because this has to be one of my favorite looks I’ve shot in a very long time! Honest to goodness I love this little holiday number. Let me count the ways… Leopard, check. Light Pink, check. Shimmer & Sparkle, check. White Booties, check. Suede Jacket, check. And Stunning Earrings, check. I feel like Buddy the Elf when he says “I’m in love and I don’t care who knows it!” haha. In years past I had been hesitant to go all-in when it came to holiday pieces/outfits because I’m just too practical. I would find myself thinking, sure this is cute but I can’t wear it again until next year! And that would stop me right in my tracks. But this year I’ve been swept away by all things festive & fun, and have crafted some pretty fabulous looks that are perfect for the holiday season and beyond!
I’ve had this skirt for a couple years now and since leaving my day job, I just haven’t had many chances to wear it. You girls know I love to mix prints & fabrics, so the Sabby Style light bulb went off when I brought home this pretty pink & gold sequin top from Amelia’s Boutique! There’s nothing more quintessential than sequins and sparkle for the holiday season, but pairing those with a light pink, rather than your standard green and red, is an unexpected pairing, which I dig! This top has the prettiest shades of rose gold, pink, gold, and silver and it fits just right – laying nicely over my skirt and underneath a jacket. I’ve also worn it with high waisted black jeans and white pumps! You could also style this top with a longer pencil skirt and a blazer for an office appropriate ensemble.
The sky’s the limit for this pink number AND it’s 20% off with special code sabbystyle20dec from Amelia’s Boutique!
It’s common knowledge around these SS parts that I’ve never met a leopard print I didn’t like and this skirt stole my heart with it’s light pink hues mixed in, making it a subtle yet perfect match for this pink shimmery top! I try and mix pieces that can stand the test of time and aren’t just trendy or seasonal, because getting the most bang for your buck is very important.
This outfit not only works for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, but it would also be fabulous for date night, a show or play, a celebratory occasion, and even Valentine’s Day!
White shoes are trending big time this season and I’m loving this trend! I bought these booties for my trip to D.C. but left them behind because I didn’t want to scuff them up too badly from all the walking I knew we would be doing. These are very high quality and made incredibly well, so I’ve reserved them for my fancy & sassy shoe outfits! And you know what else is beyond sassy? These gorgeous earrings! These embellished beauties are the perfect match for my sequin top. Nothing says Holiday Style like some bling, right?! They’re only $17 + 15% off with code SARAS15 from 7 Charming Sisters!

Hi sweet friends and happy Monday! Christmas is exactly two weeks from today – how crazy! Which means it’s time to get ’bout it ’bout it on the gift buying front! This may surprise you, but shopping for my dad & Tony is the most fun for me. Yes, I love picking out girly gifts for my mom and sis (and for myself haha), but buying things for my sweet dad and hubby just fill my heart! My dad is the hardest working, most selfless person I know and has always sacrificed his wants and needs for those of his wife and daughters. I’ve never taken that for granted but as I’ve gotten older, I definitely appreciate those sacrifices more and more, which is why I truly love spoiling my dad! Because what’s the point of having a little jingle in your pocket if you don’t share it with the ones you love! I also love shopping for Tony because he, too, puts others’ wants before his own. And they both will put off buying those necessary items, such as cologne, belts, scarves & gloves. Seriously, Tony has a hole in his left glove and they both have empty bottles of cologne, so it’s time to stock them up on those functional things that every great guy needs!
But as much as I love shopping & giving gifts, fighting the crowds is my least favorite thing to do. There’s nothing worse than sitting in parking lot traffic and waiting in a massive line for one single item, which then you have to repeat store after store. No thanks! This year I did all of my shopping at one convenient place, Village Pointe. They have a store for every single person on my list! I would much rather walk from place to place in the festive & darling decorated outdoor mall than have to drive from store to store and worry about the parking situation! And the best part, when all your shopping is done, you can treat yourself to a bite to eat and beverage of your choice at one of their fabulous restaurants. Our go-to spot is Kona Grill – they have the best happy hour bites & drinks!
This. Cologne. Smells. SO. GOOD!! I’m pretty picky when it comes to what scent Tony wears, so I definitely take the lead in choosing his cologne, and this one has moved to the top of my list. You must smell it for yourself but in the meantime, let the description pull you in…
Inspired by mavericks, rebels and all-American dreamers, Coach For Men symbolizes the spirit of the brand. Complex and masculine, it opens with energetic notes of citrus and pear, which gives way to a warm burst of cardamom and coriander, before drying down to an earthy base of vetiver with hints of suede and ambergris.
Also, the leather tag can be embossed (for free!), giving this beautiful scent & bottle a sweet personal touch!
Function meets Fashion with this black and brown reversible belt! My dad is a loyal belt wearer, so I knew I had to get this for him when I spotted it at the Lucky store. Belts are one of those items that guys don’t replace right away because buying a necessity isn’t nearly as much fun as buying a chrome part for his motorcycle haha!
PLAID SCARF & GLOVES FROM BANANA REPUBLIC
You know how shoes make a woman’s outfit, well a classic scarf & high quality leather gloves make a man’s winter wardrobe! I love buying timeless pieces that they can wear year after year. Who says functional pieces have to be boring, right?!
Help the favorite men in your life take care of their skin this Winter season with a luxurious shave set! We as women spend bundles on our own skin care products and we loathe having to shave our legs (hello, laser hair removal, I’m coming for ya), so could you image what it’s like to have to shave your face every day? That’s a lot of razor-to-face time, so we need to encourage them to take care of their skin! This shave set will help hydrate & smooth their skin, and not to mention it smells great, and that’s a gift that keeps on giving!
FIVE, $100 GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY

Hi friends and happy Fri-YAY! How was your week? Mine seriously flew by and I can’t believe Christmas is just a little over two weeks away! Do you have lots of gifts left to buy? I still need to do quite a bit of Christmas shopping, so tonight I’m going to get cozy on the couch with a movie & my laptop to scout out gifts for my mom and sissy! I love shopping for them because I tend to snag a little something for myself while buying for them haha – please tell me I’m not the only one who’s guilty of this! I honestly love giving gifts to my nearest and dearest! Have you ever taken the Love Languages test? The way I show love is through Gifts and Acts of Service, so I tend to over-buy and blow past my budget when shopping for others. Which is why I have to be very strategic to be sure I’m getting the best deals out there! This year I’ve been super pleased with Macy’s and their sales have been amazing thus far. Hi babes and happy Thursday! This week has flown by and I do apologize for being a bit m.i.a. – I’ve been traveling and playing catch up since getting home on Monday. I was in Washington D.C. last weekend with my girlfriends Kelssey & Cortney (blog post from my trip coming soon!) and much to my surprise, it was quite nice and mild there! I brought my new winter coat and didn’t event pull it out of my suitcase. I was hoping that those mild temps would be waiting for me in Omaha, but it’s official, winter weather has arrived here. And that has me reaching for all of my favorite cozy sweaters, and this yellow number is currently at the top of my sweater pile! As evident from my Instagram, yellow is one of my favorite colors to wear and I definitely wear yellow all year long, from Spring to Summer and into Fall & Winter. Because who says you have to leave your favorite bright colors behind once cold weather rolls in?!? Are you unsure how to wear bold colors in the Winter? Simply swap out the neon hues for primary shades, like this marigold sweater!
Here are my top 3 reasons as to why I love & highly recommend this sweater…
– The Perfect V-Neck: I prefer v-neck sweaters & tops but cannot stand when they dip super low! For one, I’m not trying to show the goods to everyone and two, it’s stinking cold outside, which means I’m trying to cover up and not bare my chest! This sweater hits at just the right spot.
– Medium Weight Waffle Knit: I’m all for thick, chunky sweaters, but they are difficult to wear under coats! THat’s why I opt for light to medium weight sweaters because I can easily layer them under denim and Moto jackets, as well as my winter coats! This fabric is soft & cozy but doesn’t easily snag, which is very important when wearing watches, bracelets, and necklaces!
– High/Low Cut with Side Slits: I, for one, am just not interested in wearing real pants every day, which is why tunic length sweaters are clutch! I love that I can do a front tuck when wearing it with jeans, but it’s long enough in the front & back to wear with leggings, too!
